For me, music has been the way to communicate with the public and show my deepest feelings. I reflect it in my themes and Havana songs where I speak openly about blindness and the experiences that have marked my existence.
In a Tower of a wealthy family in the neighborhood of Sarrià in the city of Barcelona, a tree with different characteristics is born. That tree, after suffering a lot of abuse, it ends up killed and transformed into a guitar. From then on, it is the life of this guitar that passes through different hands, a guitar that will sound different from the others. So much so, that any of you would want to have it in your hands.

Martí Batalla is a passionate and sincere musician. The guitar is his voice. He transforms moments of his daily life and intimate experiences into charming compositions that move you, surprise you – in one aspect or another – and never leave you indifferent. His music is the living portrait of his personality and all of it breathes authenticity.
I like to remember it: Martí was one of my first students – that was many years ago – and it is nice to see how his innate talent and his vocation have never stopped working their way with effort, enthusiasm and, above all … with good humour. Congratulations, old friend!
